To make this event an awesome experience for you, USE THE TIME BEFORE THE EVENT to get ready for what's going be a SUPER FUN MORNING!
Below are a few easy things that you can do WAY BEFORE THE EVENT so that you don't stress and try to do them all last minute.
1. IMPORTANT: Get your gear checked!
Get your bike (and helmet) checked out by a local bike shop to make sure they are BOTH in working order! Bike helmets are MANDATORY!
2. Get out on your bike!
Once your bike has been all checked out and it's good to go, get out there (WITH YOUR HELMET ON) and try out your bike.
Go to a safe location (with NO CARS) and do some practice rides. (Get your parents to dust off their bikes and get out there with you)
3. Get everything ready way before race day!
4. Practice everything!
(even practice your transitions)
