The Lake Erie Sports Alliance's Learn to Skate program offers structured ice skating lessons for individuals of all ages and skill levels. The program focuses on developing fundamental skating skills, promoting physical fitness, and providing a fun and supportive environment. Participants receive instruction from experienced coaches, with lessons tailored to beginner through advanced levels. The program emphasizes safety, skill progression, and fostering a love for ice skating.
Learn to Skate USA Membership
A Learn to Skate USA Membership is essential in tracking your skater's progress as they glide through the curriculum during our programs. We require all of our Learn to Skate participants to maintain a Learn to Skate USA Membership. Participants must register for a membership before the first day of classes. click the link below and register today! When choosing your program affiliation, please select Lake Erie Sports Alliance.
Year Round Programming for All Ages!
Our Facility offers year round programming that runs consecutively throughout the seasons.
Monday evenings we offer our Basic 1 through 3 classes. These classes are designed for beginner skaters just starting their adventure on the ice!
We also offer our Basic 4 through 6, Free Skate, & Adult classes on Monday evenings.
Our Adult classes are designed for the beginner & novice adult skaters looking to boost their skating skills for figure skating or hockey.
Our Basic 4 through 6 classes are designed for the novice skaters who are ready to learn transitions, edges and skating skills.
Our Free Skate classes are designed for the more advanced skaters who are ready to learn jumps and spins, along with the advanced skating skills for Figure Skating.
*Skaters must have passed the Basic 3 or higher levels to participate in our Basic 4 through Free skate classes.

The L.E.S.A. Learn to Skate program offers structured ice skating lessons for individuals of all ages and skill levels. The program focuses on developing fundamental skating skills, promoting physical fitness, and providing a fun and supportive environment.
Participants receive instruction from experienced coaches, with lessons tailored to beginner through advanced levels. The program emphasizes safety, skill progression, and fostering a love for ice skating.
Our Spring #1 Session is an 8 week session.
Dates : January 26th - March 23rd, 2026
*no class February 2nd
Class Schedule:
Basic 4-6
Class time: 6:45pm - 7:15pm
Practice time: 6:15pm - 6:45pm
Adult
Class time: 6:45pm - 7:15pm
Practice time: 6:15pm - 6:45pm
Skater attire/gear:
For new or beginner skaters, wearing a helmet is essential. If you do not have a helmet, please inform us, as we have a limited number available for borrowing during classes.
Furthermore, we strongly recommend that skaters wear gloves, a warm jacket, and flexible athletic clothing for both classes and practice sessions.
